What is the size range?
Our size range is based on your shoulder measurements and not the traditional number range. Standard sizing has proven to be inconsistent between brand names and changes over time, so we’ve adopted a practice that is common in the men’s industry and that means we use real numbers. As far as the range of our abilities, we’ve created this business in an effort to accommodate all shapes and sizes. If you have a concern about possible limitations in our range, please contact us and we will gladly discuss further.
What kind of fabrics does SEWT use? Where are they from?
We source fabric from many different places, but primarily England and Italy. Our fabric selection consists of private label, designer names, and seasonal collections. We specialize in wool blends that offer stretch in addition to traditional 100% wool, which means we’re always looking for new sources to add as options.
Where do you manufacture?
We proudly design in Canada and we utilize suppliers from all over the world. Some of our products are made here in Canada, while others are overseas.
What is the price point?
Our starting price points for a suit set are $675 and bespoke orders start at $3,000. Price varies due to fabric selection and custom features.

Can I order other items custom?
We offer bespoke services for any requests that are outside of our pattern range. If you have something in mind, please reach out to us.
Do you make menswear?
Yes, if you have a custom request for a men’s garment we are able to facilitate it.
My suit doesn’t fit, what are my options?
Alterations are included with all of our custom garments (made-to-measure and bespoke). Any changes made in order to complete your piece prior to final delivery are considered to be part of the purchase price. Any alterations requests post delivery will be charged accordingly.
If you are located outside of the GTA we offer an alterations credit. Just bring the Alteration Form with you to your local tailor, have them fill it out, send a photographed or scanned copy of the receipt to us, and we will reimburse you. Sorry, due to the custom nature of our SEWTs, we do not offer refunds.

What is your return policy?
We will do everything in our power to make sure you’re happy with your SEWT, but due to the custom nature of our SEWTs, we do not offer refunds. Read more about our Return Policy.
Once I place my order how long will it take?
Processing time takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Once your order is fulfilled you will be notified with shipping information.
The total time frame from start to finish varies for every client due to the number of follow up alterations required. You can expect the first fitting to be scheduled for 6-8 weeks after the consultation, but beyond this point every customer will differ.
These are entirely custom projects and take a minimum of 8-10 weeks.
What if I need my SEWT sooner?
Contact us! Depending on when your event is, there may be an ability to rush your order for an extra cost. We will do our best to accommodate.
Can I place an order from out of town?
We currently only sell to our Canadian customers. If you are located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), you can book an in-person appointment at our studio or through our mobile service. If you are located outside of the GTA, you can shop our collection online or visit one of our scheduled pop-ups.
How often should I wash my SEWT?
Because our suits are 100% wool, they should only be dry cleaned when heavily soiled – a regular steam is more than sufficient! Take a look at our garment card guide.
Do I have to make a purchase once I come in for a consultation?
There is no mandatory obligation to purchase anything you don’t want to. The consultation is intended to get a better understanding of who you are and what you need, but sometimes it takes time to decide and we understand that. We do require a deposit to hold your appointment – your credit card will not be charged unless there is a no-show.
How long are your consultations?
Appointments for measurements and fittings are approximately thirty (30) minutes. Consultations that include measurements and custom work take approximately one (1) hour.
